Rules & Guidelines
Let’s build something awesome together!
We’re so glad you’ve joined our community. Here, collaboration is the name of the game, and your input is what makes this place special. To help us all stay on the same page and keep the creative energy flowing, we've put together a few simple rules to guide our interactions. To ensure this space remains supportive, productive, and fun for everyone please follow these simple rules:
1. Be respectful
Treat others the way you’d like to be treated. We’re all here to work together, so let’s keep the tone friendly, professional, and constructive. Disagreements happen, but let’s approach them with respect and an open mind.
The following is not permitted and will be sanctioned as necessary:
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or personal attacks
- Any kind of discrimination or hate speech
- Trolling, baiting, or deliberately provoking other members
- Posting irrelevant links or ads (spamming/advertising)
- Posting graphic, violent, explicit, or otherwise sensitive content (content should remain PG-13 in nature)
- Sharing content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes upon the rights of others
This list is not exhaustive. Any misbehavior will be sanctioned at the discretion of the admins and moderation team (see section 8 for details).
2. Share your ideas freely, but listen too!
Collaboration thrives on diversity of thought. Share your ideas, ask questions, and be open to feedback! If someone gives you constructive criticism, take it as an opportunity to grow. Likewise, if someone asks for help, lend a hand if you can.
If you have feedback, be sure it’s aimed at improving the project and not at the person. A little bit of positivity goes a long way when offering suggestions! Try to point out what’s working well, too, and always make your comments actionable.
3. Keep it on topic
You’re here to build something cool together, so let’s stay focused on the project discussions. If you need to talk about something else, start a separate thread or find the appropriate space to do so. It's easy for a discussion or project to get derailed with distractions, so try to do your part in preventing side tangents in designated spaces.
4. Keep it clean
We want quality, not clutter. Please refrain from posting irrelevant links, unsolicited promotions, or anything that doesn’t contribute to the project at hand. If you’ve got a cool tool or resource that could help, share it, but make sure it's genuinely relevant (and write some context about why its relevant, rather than just sharing a standalone link). Note: we have a specific category titled "Links" in the "General" section, for you to post this type of content
5. Public Sharing
By posting about your project, you acknowledge that the information you share becomes publicly accessible. Please ensure that you're comfortable with your content being visible to all forum members and the wider community before posting. If you need to share something private or sensitive, consider keeping it offline or using direct messaging with trusted individuals.
6. Have Fun and Be Yourself
We’re trying to build something amazing, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the process! Be creative, be curious, and don’t be afraid to bring your unique perspective. We all bring something different to the table, and that’s what makes this community so great.
7. Forum Etiquette 101
- Use descriptive titles: Don’t just write “Help!” in your thread title. Tell us what the problem is (e.g., “Navigation menu issue on mobile”) – this helps everyone find solutions faster
- Stay active: Check in, respond to comments, and keep the conversation moving forward
- Be patient: We all have busy lives, but we’ll get to your question or suggestion as soon as we can
- If you encounter content that violates the rules in this post, please report it to the moderation team rather than engaging in public disputes
8. Misbehavior sanctions
While we love a good collaborative vibe, there are a few things that could lead to sanctions. Here are some examples of misbehavior and the potential consequences:
- Administrators and moderators reserve the right to edit, remove, or lock content
- Repeated or severe violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans
- Attempts to circumvent moderation actions may result in further disciplinary action
All decisions will be taken at admin and moderator team discretion. These guidelines may be revised as the community evolves. Continued participation in the forum indicates acceptance of any updates.
